Tactic: The Quarterly Radar Review

🎯 Strategic Intent

To maintain a forward-looking posture for the client by using AI-driven foresight and the Socratic method to update the technology roadmap every 90 days.

🧠 The 7-Step Foresight Workflow

Use the Foresight Accelerator (LLM) as an expert colleague:

  1. Input Context: Client’s current stack, market position, and recent wins.
  2. Identify Trends: Select 2-3 emerging trends (e.g., Generative AI in Customer Ops).
  3. Socratic Dialogue: Engage in iterative questioning to explore the implications of those trends.
  4. Forecast Impact: Determine the specific effect on the client’s P&L and market cap.
  5. Risk Analysis: Identify new threats (security, technical debt) introduced by these trends.
  6. Strategy Synthesis: Incorporate insights into the living Tech Roadmap.
  7. Sounding Board: Pressure-test your final recommendations with the model before the CEO meeting.

🛠️ The Impact Filter (Decision Tool)

Every new initiative proposed during the Radar Review must pass the Impact Filter:

  • Purpose: What does this fundamentally accomplish?
  • Importance: Why is it crucial now?
  • Ideal Outcome: What does the finish line look like?
  • Best vs. Worst: What is the gain of action vs. the cost of inaction?
  • Success Criteria: What 3 things must be true for this to be a “Win”?

📍 Maintenance Task

  • Update the Dashboard: Immediately following the Review, update the Technology Project Dashboard with the new priorities, categorized by (De-risk | Unclog | Scale).
